Saundra Davis is a voice of reason in an increasingly divided political landscape. After witnessing the growing polarization and ineffectiveness of single-party rule in Fairfax County, Saundra decided it was time for a change. Like many in our community, she began questioning why partisan politics were taking precedence over practical solutions to the everyday challenges facing District 15 families.
A proud mother of three adult children who has called District 15 home for 13 years, Saundra brings both professional expertise and personal investment to her campaign. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Colorado State University and master's degrees in Health Care Administration and Gerontology from the University of Southern California.
Professionally, Saundra served as the director of a secure memory care community, where she developed a deep understanding of how to balance budgetary constraints with the critical needs of vulnerable populations. This experience taught her the importance of fiscal responsibility while never losing sight of the human impact of policy decisions.
She currently serves as an appointee to the Virginia Public Guardian and Conservator Advisory Board, which advises the Commissioner of the Department for the Aging and assists in the coordination and management of local and regional programs appointed to act as public guardians and conservators.
In this role, Saundra helps ensure ethical oversight and protection for individuals who can no longer care for themselves—advancing her lifelong commitment to safeguarding the dignity and well-being of Virginia’s most vulnerable citizens.
While Saundra initially planned to return to healthcare after raising her children, she felt a stronger calling to serve her community by advocating for transparency and responsible management of taxpayer dollars. Her campaign for the Virginia House of Delegates is centered on three core priorities: lower taxes, better schools, and safer neighborhoods.
As a former candidate for the FCPS School Board At-Large, Saundra has consistently championed fiscal accountability and educational excellence. During the pandemic, she helped lead grassroots efforts to support the safe and timely reopening of schools, putting children's educational needs above political considerations.
Saundra believes that our communities deserve better than the extremist voices currently dominating the political conversation. She is committed to bringing independent thinking and a balanced approach to Richmond, where she'll work across traditional party lines to deliver real results for the families of District 15.
